We used to be friends
But I haven't thought of you lately at all
If ever again
A greeting I send to you
Short and sweet, to the soul I intend

Ah ah ah ah ah
Ah ah ah ah ah

Come on now honey
Bring it on bring it on yeah
Just remember me when
You're good to go

Come on now sugar
Bring it on bring it on yeah
Just remember me when...

It's something I said
Or someone I know
Or you called me up
Maybe I wasn't home
Now everybody needs some time
And everybody knows
The rest of it's fine
And everybody knows

Come on now sugar
Bring it on bring it on yeah
Remember me when
You're good to go

Come on now honey
Bring it on bring it on yeah
Just remember me when
We used to be friends

Yes, they do.  And they couple those hooks with witty lyrics.  Nice!

Can't say why but each time I start swinging on my chair when I hear this one. Love IT!
oh come on guys...Veronica Mars?
Are we still friends sugar?      Easy POP 9
what a fun song   {#Music}

First time I've heard this on RP......sudden urge to re-watch 'Veronica Mars'.
Currently binge watching 'House of Lies' though.....would my brain withstand the Kristen Bell good girl / bad girl dichotomy !!?

"The Good Place" is weird, but it's freakin' great. I binge-watched through the first season to get up to speed in time for the start season 2...and then forgot all about it. Hopefully season 2 will show up on a streaming network (besides Hulu) real soon now.

Something about The Dandy Warhols is extra-likable; I think it's the combination of the 'tongue-in-cheek' lyrics and a rather laid back musical style.  Their songs also touch on real life situations better than the average band.  And this song, well, I LOVE the message (9) despite finding the delivery and execution to be subpar (4) - so I'll average those two ratings; rounding up I'm at a 7 for this track.

Still, the idea that the message 'intended for the soul' of the former friend being:

Ah ah ah ah ah, Ah ah ah ah ah, Ah ah ah ah ah, Ah ah ah ah ah

Well that is just freaking HI-lariously Awesome!

PEACE and Long Live RP!!

This just makes me want to watch "DIG!" again. Really mental documentary film on Brian Jones Town Massacre and The Dandies. Neither band were amazing, but its entertaining as hell.

I don't mind this at all.

Great band.  I love their stuff every time.
Puzzled by Kristen Bell name-dropping, I now know something new: this is the theme song for Veronica Mars.  (Also on FIFA 2004 video game.)

As for Ms Bell, if you didn't already know she's got a sharp and twisted sense of humor ... now you know something new.
For Kathi with an IIIIIIIII.  LOL
Yes, irony dripping band, but what fun! In concert or at home, their grooves are so infectious! {#Bananapiano}
Just love them Warhols, never get tired of them!

Recently watched the movie "Dig!" about The Dandy's and relationship and admiration of Brian Jonestown Massacre - fascinating and quite entertaining.  A must watch if you are a fan of either band, or in my case, both bands.  BTW - could really use some Brian Jonestown on RP Bill!

Never dug 'em. I think I felt like the dandies did about it by the end. That dude couldn't organize anything and make it grow. He knocked it all down around himself.

When the Warhols put out Bohemian Like You I truly thought they were the greatest band in America at that juncture...
I'll never not love this song. Reminds me of working brunch in Seattle in the early 00's and we used to blare this and Scissor Sisters!

Okay, I admit it. I've never heard the original version of this song before, and am a Veronica Mars fan. It's great!

Wonderful song! Aren't you glad we don't have to just listen to air wave radio anymore? {#Bananajam}

I'm on the other end of the spectrum: this song evokes bad memories of "Veronica Mars." I tried so many times to enjoy it with my roommates, but I just couldn't. Everyone's different, though!

Hard not to at least tap your toes to this pop tune. {#Bananasplit}
8.  This band is beyond description for me. So nice to hear them get air play.
Yes,...more fluff!

Vacuous pop fluff.

But I really like it!{#Dancingbanana}

I like some of their stuff, but this just drives me crazy in a bad way.

Insipid

I like some of the Randy Warthogs other stuff but this reminds me of dentists drills....
Appropriate in every way!
Catchy band name and cover art. Can't say the same for this song.
I love the Dandy Warhols...excellent story tellers...very catchy tunes

Does this chorus remind anyone of Driveshaft's "You All Everybody"?  (A "Lost" reference").

That was actually one of my first thoughts when I heard it.  I'd have to say I like this a bit better than Charlie's falsetto though.
And I, too, prefer the Veronica Mars theme remix to this one...at least for the first two seasons.  The third was a bit lame. A decent song, though.

I agree - nails on a chalkboard, ugh

I absolutely love this song and this album. I saw them live a few weeks ago and they were really sloppy and the sound was awful though. Pretty lousy show.

I saw them 9/20/08 in Philadelphia and thought they were very pulled together. I'd even call it a great show. They did this song and the audience was singin' clappin' and bouncin' along. A lot of fun.

Does this chorus remind anyone of Driveshaft's "You All Everybody"?  (A "Lost" reference").

I love the Dandy Warhols. Such a diverse band.
My daughter's (14) favorite DW song. I think it makes her feel better about an former boyfriend...

Great Album Cover!
Is it just me or do parts of this song sound like it's being sung by "The Presidents of The United States"? It reminds me of "Feather Pluckin'".
Thanks for putting this on your comp CD Mike G - been enjoying this for years!

I agree (you're so smart!) but end up "digging" Brian Jonestown Massacre much, much more!
Have a kick ass summer - I think that is the title but only available on iTunes in Europe. Can Radio Paradise add this to the list? - Love to hear it while it is still Summer.
I have got into DW's quite late on - i am sorry i missed out in the first wave. They sound like no-one else and have a very individual sound and lyrical quality. What music should be about.
Used in both Wonderfalls (great show) and Veronica Mars (worth a look) makes me like this song. Good music in good shows is a nice change from good songs in bad shows, which is usually the case. Plus it's nice and short.
Oh, yeah.
Love the Dandies!
a coworker has this as her ringtone, and it ruins the song for me. hate cellphones
Can't hear this song without picturing Kristen Bell. Which isn't a bad picture, mind you. infamoso wrote:

Or, as Jack Black suggests in "High Fidelity" ... Kathleen Turner Overdrive

I really like this song but I had a chance encounter that left a bad taste in my mouth. These guys are super cocky- but maybe that's what makes 'em what they are.
Gonna be adding this band to my list nowadays too, thanks RP.
