They fall from your mouth
Propelled by your belly and your tongue
I shiver when you shake
And I fold into jelly
I think I loved you more than me

Are you human or a dud?
Are you human or d'you make it up?

My baby cherry slipped
Pass me through your fingertips
Throw me down like an old rag
I'm not standing
Don't look back

Are you human or a dud?
Are you human or d'you make it up?
Are you human or a dud?
Are you human or d'you make it up?

They went searching for your body
They went looking but there's nobody
Who smells like you
Who looks like you
You're not human... too

Are you human or a dud?
Are you human or d'you make it up?
Are you human or a dud?
Are you human or d'you make it up?

Just heard the Calexico version of this song from Goldfrapp's Utopia remix EP. Pretty cool, you should check it out.

From the very first note, I thought that! Sleekily sexy, trashy, campy.

Wait--so do you like it or not?
Does anyone else hear Liza?
this whole cd is one of the best aphrodisiacs on the market
Reminded me of fingernails scraping down a blackboard in a subway tunnel after a weeklong garbage collectors' strike. That comment needs no emoticons. However, I will try to hear other songs by this group, in order not to judge by too little evidence.
Delicious :-) A great live band too by the way!
nobody better tune illust8r's winamp to SomaFM's "Secret Agent" stream anytime soon. 8O
ENOUGH with the James Bond sound. And definitely enough of Gold-frappé.

This album (Felt Mountain) is one of the more impressive debut efforts of the last few years imho. A strange blend of lounge, retro and electronica, with Allison Goldfrap's dreamy vocals. Excellent, though it requires quite a few listens to get "into". The new album (Black Cherry) isn't as good imho.
Same thoughts here... AMG (I think) describes Felt Mountain as a collection of torch songs, which is suitable... Maybe the third album will be more along these lines...

I dig it....I have no idea how to classify it, but I like it
Intriguing.

OK, so who is Hugh Mann?
Thanks for playing again! I have been trying to remember what this was from hearing on rp earlier this summer and it has been dreiving me crazy! Love it!
The whole CD is fantastic! I love this song
wow, I'm diggin' this song, and yes, very bondesque ala Shirley Bassey. :)
Fake Björk!
Is she a Klingon? "Hu-MANNN!!" And no, it's not Shirley Bassey...eesh! :) (though AMG does list Goldfrapp as a follower) Cool tune.
dont think i have ever heard Goldfrapp with vocals before. reminds me of Propellerheads' "History Repeating". same singer? pretty cool, i might add.
That's two sad ones in a row...I'm on life support.....................................
I got into Goldfrapp with "Black Cherry" and I like it a whole lot better than this because it more specifically targets the new-wave genre in its electronica synthesis rather than the more generalized retro feel of this track. (IMHO)

I have to hear this again. All I remember was a first impression of her sounding like a JB (Widespread Panic) female version.
:)

Does sound a little like KD, but the singer's name is Alison Goldfrapp. Check out the CD--very nice.
Never heard of them. Good though. :D
Sounds like the sountrack to a Bond film to me. Not that it\'s a bad thing, but it doesn\'t compel me to want to buy the CD. Come to think of it, I\'m not real compelled to even hear this one again.
Felt Mountain is a very good album I would recommand you this one ... but definitely too short !!! only half an hour of good sound ...
