GOOD MUSIC!
When it started, I thought "how pretentious".  But then it started growing on me.
Just bought the album this week!  (Thanks to hearing Devlins on RP, of course.)
Can't wait for it to show up.

Bass line reminds me of the Police song "The bed's too big without you".

Nice song anyway.

Chorus sounds like a Blond Redhead song, Elephant Woman...just a thought.

It sure does.  Seems like he's got somewhere else to be.  4 for sure.

dan bern? where? play some daniel bernstein!!!!!  he's great.. this song is adequate, on the other hand
ANYTHING would be a great transition after that Dan Bern cacophony. But you're correct. Good song.
Great transition with the Dan Bern song.
Nice music
Good tune and a good CD.
when they did the 6 feet under show with song "waiting," Oh! the two perfected rare art! what a moment in the show which is one of the best ever . . . !varant gut!

Whoa I haven't heard these guys in years. I heard this one song by them, I think it was called "across the river" or some such, it stuck out in my mind for the last 10 years or so. Whoa nostalgia just hit.
Wasn't that on tha Batman Forever Soundtrack album? I liked that song pretty much. This is good too.
This a great CD --- recommended. The rest of the Devlins stuff --- not so much.

To paraphrase Dave Barry; "Iridescent Fluff Packets" would be a great name for a band.
I think that one thing a Devlins appreciater knows is that they are purveyors of subtle moodiness - and their songs do have a shifting, wandering quality; so if you're looking for closure or dénouement at the end of the song, you're often going to be left wondering what happened. Not that that is a bad thing (sometimes its the objective). . .

there is a piece of industrial equipment in carbon black plants (natural gas byproduct used to make tires black, toner, the black in ink, etc) that is honest-to-god called a "fluffy packer". not that it has anything to do with this song but useless trivia nonetheless.
I love this band (I've met them, maybe I'm slightly biased, they're very nice and very good-looking, but I digress...) but when I first listened to this album, I didn't like it at all. after a while it grew on me, though, and now I dig it. this is not the best song from it, though; I'd vote for Montreal or People Still Believing
I agree with Toots and Cardiojeff - their "Drift" stuff would really be great to hear again. I bought it on cassette about a million years ago, and it's worn out from getting listened to so much.
love the bass line. I do like the song, but think most of the others on this album are better

Lead singer seems on key . . . but mellifluous he ain't . . . maybe major problem is that the tune was written with a lot of staying on the same note. The icon is supposed to be me yawning:
Might we suggest using the yawning icon: ....unless you're embarassed about yawning.

I really liked "Drift" too. Nice to hear something new from them, but sort of nice not to have to go out and buy it, because this song's just okay. Maybe the rest of the album is better.
Ho Hum song. I'd like to hear selections off their great album "Drift".

Yup, 'Stuck in Seville' would have been a better title. It is sort of grey sounding (if grey had a sound that is).

i like the feal of this song, i like the feal so much i can\'t focus on the lyrics.

Every time I hear a song from this album I think it\'s amazing. Haven\'t heard from these guys for a long time and I\'m loving their new stuff.

Not the same afternoon, but I agree. In fact, I'm upping my score. Sounds great out of Underworld and into B-Tribe.
Sometimes I think I\'m listening, but I\'m just tuning out...

ok sound I suppose. might be a better song, but the context of so many new songs in a row makes it a bit harder for me to gauge it fairly.
