Easter's heir uncrowns
Another destiny
lies leeched
upon the ground
Everybody needs someone to live by
Everybody needs someone
Everybody needs someone to live by
A gilded wreath on reason
The flower crushed conceives
A child of fragrance
so much clearer
In legacy
Everybody needs someone to live by
Everybody needs someone
Everybody needs someone to live by
Rage on omnipotent
Great choice William!

This comment was surely intended for another song. I can't imagine you are THAT tone-deaf!
Talk Talk are my Radio Head!
Talk Talk is BETTER than Radio Head!!
The vocals remind me of Brian Ferry! ...A good thing!
Roxy Music ...Big influence to the band.
...or "Talk Talk", the 1966 single by the American garage rock band The Music Machine.
Bill needs to play Talk Talk, The The, and Mister Mister in a row just for fun.
Don't forget Bowie's Rebel Rebel, Kingsmen's Louise, Louise, Amy MacDonald's Love Love, Cake's Mahna Mahna, Dylan's Lay Lady Lay, Decemberist's July, July! Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang, Tracy Chapman's Bang Bang Bang, Neil Young's My My, Hey Hey, a couple songs by Cry Cry Cry, a bunch by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and last but certainly not least, Crash Test Dummies Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm.
You forgot the 80's band Danger Danger, whose hits include Bang Bang and Naughty Naughty. Also the John Parr song Naughty Naughty.
First runner up, losing to a-ha for the top spot in "holy crap the stuff they DON'T play all the time is amazing!!"
Also first runner up losing to The The, for "group name that can't be googled."
Type either Talk Talk band or The The band in a meta-search engine and you will get plenty of results.

This song makes me feel I am soaring above the Drakensburg mountains.

Got it; love it.
Am about to buy my second Talk Talk album: Colour of Spring.
All of the high praise and accolades that is directed at East of Eden, I feel about The Colour of Spring. I do hear and feel the meditative post-rock genre heart and originality of the last two Talk Talk albums, but they never made it close to my Top Album Ever list, like Colour of Spring did. At least we agree on the brilliance of the band..
Hear, hear. What a shock, he was only 64.
I'll second the musical genius. And timeless voice.
When it was released I really was addicted to this album!
This one is still the best and by far the best music I have been introduced to in recent years.
amen
looking back I think I agree

DEFINITELY pick up the CD! The only real way to appreciate it fully, IMHO, is to get comfortable and sit down and listen to it all the way through at volume.... a nice glass of wine adds a dimension as well!!!

I am almost ready to agree with you. Definitely supreme in the sublime category.
thanks Bill and Becky!
Yes, the influence is there, especially in the guitar sound, but then, The Velvet Underground influenced thousands of musicians.
Hyperbole, anyone?
Hmmm . . . how about one of the best Talk Talk albums . . . of all time?
Not so. Best served up when well rested, stone cold sober and sharp of mind. About listen #5, I stopped listening and just let the music carry me.
Please upload.

I did! Terrific CD.
This is a bit of an acquired taste. Not easily shared. But I love it.
I agree 100%
Then listend to it over and over and it started to grow.
Now consider it one of the best CDs I own.
Top score!
I wouldn't call this down tempo but rather simply slow and moody.
This grows. Probably time to pick up the CD.
