I keep RP on most of the day at work -- my defense against the constant foul language outside my office door (I work in a high school). Plus, I just really love RP. Whenever a staff member walks in, I usually get, "I'm liking the vibe in here..."
I use RP as my "At Work" music too, My Metal and Prog tastes get odd looks (though still better than the bad Death Metal the now fired crackhead played) and the local stuff is BAD (90% of it played on the top 40 stations from when I left the area in 1984) and while I get a lot of "What is THAT?" generally, get good comments if they've listened for more than one or two songs.
Fatboy Slim - Praising You (Feat. Rita Ora) (Glastonbury 2023) - YouTube
How is it that there are so many listeners always whining about other people's ratings or comments?
Thank you.
Jesus, if we have to listen to people actually calling this a good track, they can listen to us pointing out that it's actually pretty bad. I get that music is subjective, but the musicianship, the arrangement, and the lyrics, are utterly without creativity. Before the haters reply, just read the lyrics.
Like it? No problem. Upset that some of us don't? Get over yourself. It's not a good track, and the comments section isn't just for meaningless cheerleading.
My mother went to school in La Rochelle, and lived in Chatellaillon with my granparents...I was born in Aigrefeuille...A la votre!
Oh, wow. Hi there! Seventeen years later!
I don't recall hearing a recurring vinyl-like tic throughout before - is that real or an unwanted artefact on this copy?
I don’t think ANYthing on this track (or from FBS in general) is an unwanted artifact. :-)
Photo of him from the "documentary".
jezus fuck! this version is annoying!
Not if you're dancing!
well, it's no Werewolves of London...
Bahahahaha
This song just rubs me the wrong way ...
Try doing a handstand... ;-)
How is it that there are so many closed minded listeners on an eclectic station such as this? Bill, keep up the good mixes.

Beloved Wife: "They play that on your Hippie Radio Station*?"
Me: Yep, and that is why I love my Hippie Radio Station*...

That's fair. Lots of music I don't like that many do. I'm trying to understand the music from their point of view.
