Here's a little song, you can all join in with
It's very simple and I hope it's new
Make your own words up if you want to
Any old words that you think will do, yeah
Yellow, blue, what'll I do?
Maybe I'll just sit here thinking
Black, white, stop the fight
Does one of these colours ever bother you?
Here's a little dance you can all join in with
It's very simple and I hope it's new
Make your own steps up if you want to
Any old steps that you think will do
Left, right, don't get uptight
Keep in line and you'll be alright
Clap hands, move around
Make sure no one puts you down
Here's a little world you can all join in with
It's very simple and I hope it's new
Make your own life up if you want to
Any old life that you think will do
Love, yeah, it's nothing new
There's someone much worse off than you are
Help me set them free
Just be what you want to be
Here's a little song you can all join in with

This came on and I knew it was Traffic but my mental card catalog had it filed under Gorillaz. And then I listened to it and Feel Good Ink and realized the Gorillaz are to Traffic and Dave Mason what ELO was to the Beatles. Evolutions of good ideas.
or is it manassas
Grateful Dead vibe....
This is a fantastic tuneā¦ The wonderful Dave Mason

Ironically it immediately follows "It's A Good Day To Fight The System", which is starting to feel like it's on daily.
I love traffic! thanks for finding something not over played

This takes me back to 1969 when I was 19 years old!

This is actually a Dave Mason song. Easy to tell which was a Mason song and a Winwood song back in those days. Made the band more interesting. Traffic lost a lot when he moved on from them. But it is what it is.
I'm surprised this made the greatest hits type album. It is dead like, but I'm a fan of the dead so it's OK but Steve W. was a teen prodigy back then

Going by the comment dates, there was a 12 year gap for this song on RP.
It's a little too similar to Grateful Dead for my taste.

I just want to thank my passed brother Steve for turning me onto so much great music at such a young age.
Thanks Steve!
Thanks Bill & Rebecca !!! (nice set)
Rest in peace Steve I love traffic! thanks for finding something not over played
What a fun song from a great band. Still chill music in my mind.
Agree with Freebish's comment 14 years ago- play this song more often!
The Buzzard of Tucson
The Buzzard of Tucson
Anything by Traffic is better than any of the s**t played on commercial radio these days

Now if this had come labelled as Grateful Dead, I bet the comments would have been a whole load different. (Sounds like a lot of their stuff when you think about it)
Sounds like a "Concert Audience Participation" song.
ahhhh memories of first period English right after the morning wake and bake. My friend and I would sing this and laugh-guess that's why I failed. LOL

Oh hell, one doesn't have to be prolific all the time - it's just good old fashioned "feel good" music to bring on the weekend!!
I love traffic, musical kind. but...not a favorite tune I must say.

No floggings from me. I love Traffic, but this is really a tossoff song. It's goofy and silly, but not good. I'll give it a 4, but it's at the bottom of the range for Traffic.
NOT impressed. Also, get off of Ringo's drum set!!!

Ok, Bill, now play us some Spencer Davis Group and make the world complete. :-)
Decent tune.
Memories! One of the first songs I heard on FM radio (along with Fleetwood Mac's 'Oh, Well') when I was but a sprout. That was back when the FM side was two turntables and a hand-held mic in the transmitter shack. (Bill probably remembers those days, eh?)
Not my favorite Traffic song, but hey, it's still
Traffic and I'm feelin alright
Love this song, I couldn't have imagined it would show up, even on RP where I am frequently surprised. We made a recruiting film for my fraternity in 1972 and lead in with this song, brings back many (hazy) memories.
Wow, Bill pulls yet another rabbit outa the hat!

Why Traffic was it.
Thanks
Great song! I was gonna upload it and saw you already have it but it's never been played!? Play it man, play that song.
