You've got your chain
Tied to me tight tie me up again
Who's got their claws
In you my friend
Into your heart I'll beat again
Sweet like candy to my soul
Sweet you rock
And sweet you roll
Lost for you I'm so lost for you
You come crash into me
And I come into you,
I come into you
In a boy's dream
In a boy's dream
Touch your lips just so I know
In your eyes, love, it glows so
I'm bare-boned and crazy for you
When you come crash
Into me, baby
And I come into you
In a boys dream
In a boys dream
If I've gone overboard
Then I'm begging you
To forgive me
In my haste
When I'm holding you so girl
Close to me
Oh and you come crash
Into me, baby
And I come into you
Hike up your skirt a little more
And show the world to me
Hike up your skirt a little more
And show your world to me
In a boy's dream
In a boy's dream
Oh I watch you there
Through the window
And I stare at you
You wear nothing but you
Wear it so well
Tied up and twisted,
The way I'd like to be
For you, for me, come crash
Into me,
Crash into me
Crash into me
Crash into me
Crash into me
I'm the king of the castle
You're the dirty rascal
Crash into me
Oh see you crash into me baby,
'Cause I am swimming in your seas
And in your ocean
And I feel your waves come and crash into me
Oh, yes, I see the waves come and crash into me
Oh, yes, I feel the waves come and crash into me
Dear William,
Please STOP playing DMB.
Sincerely,
Your daughter
Damn, there is a lot of hate here.
I'm loving it. Not only for the song but for the era it evokes So sorry all you guys had such a sucky time in the 90's. For me it was an era of less responsibilities, growing independence, exploration, good friends, great adventures, new loves and so much more. Great song and great memories.
Agreed! It was a great time in my life as well. Every word you wrote could apply to me as well! Cheers. Eat drink and be merry...
Please STOP playing DMB.

They only come out in force for certain artists. Unfortunately, the great Dave Matthews is one of them. On the bright side, every artist the blind haters h8 is fabulously successful with a large and appreciative fan base. I like to think that their continued success is a nice poke in the eye and am always glad to hear them (e.g. Dave, U2, Natalie Merchant, David Byrne, et. al.) on RP.

A One because don't allow the zero.
you read my mind
What, this ISN'T Jack Black? Pfft!
Amen.
Yes, very nice indeed!
Everyone is entitled to their opinions. But this guy is an excellent artist and a damned decent guy. Enjoy the nice music, and quit trying to be hipper than the rest of us.
Res ipsa loquitur.
I save room in my library for Neil Young and Bob Dylan, but am entirely unwilling to welcome either Sting or his buddy Dave Matthews.
Magna atque magnifica Oz locutus.
So we don't like Dave because we are trying to be hip?

I wonder what percent of the haters down thread are male and what percent are female?
Mostly male, I suspect.
I'm not a hater, I think he's funny. In fact I do a pretty good imitation of Dave's nasal twang that never fails to make my girlfriend laugh.

;)
oh yeah.....Just an old fashioned lovesong, comin' down in three part harmony.
Paul actually wrote some big hits and some other pretty good songs.

I think I'd prefer the William Shatner version!

I did once... but I came back around.
I think you are on to something.
Did I mention that the freaking Dalai Lama was there!!?

Ok, so just because the Dalai Lama is considered a religious monarch like Czar Nicholas, he should be spit on? And whom does he rule since he's an outcast with the Chinese doing their best to eradicate Tibetan culture?
Just because I meet one Washington Redskins fan and he ends up being both stupid and a douche bag, does that mean all Washington Redskins fans are stupid douche bags?
That's kinda a dick comment that you left, and I don't really understand why it was necessary.
I do think the best thing about Dave Matthews is Tim Reynolds
The world's most annoying singer.
Definitely. Although the whiiiiinnnhhy Counting Crows guy is a close second. Interminable stuff. Iiiiiiccccccccchhhhh.
Thanks for playing!

Always glad to hear DMB on RP. DMB haters are, well, haters. As the Dead sang, "ain't no time to hate, barely time to wait...". Oh yeah, probably not a good choice of a quote, I bet the cliquish haters of DMB are also the cliquish haters of the Dead. Sigh.
I"m cracking up.
Crash Into Me by Christopher Walken
I saw Dave Matthews in Seattle four years ago. He did a 45 minute set, just him, Tim Reynolds and 2 acoustic guitars.
INTERMISSION
Then, Dave sat on the stage with The Dalai Lama, and interviewed him, talk show style. Asked him a lot of questions about the world today, which were gracefully answered. Took some questions from the audience as well. This went on for nearly an hour.
INTERMISSION
Previously unannounced 'special guests' were brought out. It was Death Cab For Cutie. The crowd went wild, since we all thought it was Dave & The Dalai Lama only. DCFC played a laid-back one hour acoustic set, and that was that.
Did I mention that the freaking Dalai Lama was there!!?
You are asking a rhetorical question, for which you expect no response... surprise... the answer is no... "we" have not... instead of just saying you individually have moved on from Dave Matthews, you are using the collective "we" to sound like you have some authority over everybody's musical tastes...

Bump- Classic romeotuma comment....
The world's most annoying singer.
AGREED
The world's most annoying singer.
This song is better depending on the circumstances of life at the time you hear it!
Yeah, I bought this album too, saw him in concert and loved it.
And then he morphed into a total piece of garbage.
Still like the early stuff but gave all my albums to the Salvation Army so I don't have to suffer through his pained expressions.
Isn't dorky a pretty dorky word?
I"m cracking up.
Maybe it's the Headless Horseman painting I'm working on.
Still. I"m dying thinking of the hilarity of it.
I'll never hear this song the same way again.
But what this song *really* needs is...
<sigh> I'm so with you on that one...
I"m cracking up.

Not so much anymore.
Dave, with or without Band is one amazing concert!
I agree...especially his older stuff.
I personally move on for a little bit, then go back again and so on...
