For god's sake, somebody call the cops.
I don't rightly know what should keep me from granting this a godlike 10. Someone give me a reason to keep it a 9 or boost it to Beethoven and Coltrane status. Good lord amighty, this guy was superfreak.
I've got it at a 9. Despite Jimi's pyrotechnics, Mitch is too good a bass player to be stuck with that plodding bass line. No chemistry between them on this song.
i hate it when thats happens.
Billy Cox on bass and Buddy Miles on drums yeah?
I Agree completely!! I had never heard this tune, prior to hearing it on RP, a couple of months ago. Now, the more I hear it, the more I like it!! Thank You RP!
Well...I guess this guy needs to take some lessons from today's self proclaimed great guitar players:Dave Grohl and Jack White.
You poor scrap iw, everyone misunderstands your sense of humour.
Finally...thank God! Another song by the genius, Jimmy, besides the ones we always hear over and over again (Watch Tower, Purple Haze, Hey Joe, etc.). This is awesome!
You must mean Jimi. Jimmy is that Led Zeppelin guy.

Humor and sarcasm are lost on some (including myself in the past). I have since learned to get a kick out of the wind blowing off of this particular "idiot", whomever they might be.
In a good way, of course!
Now I'm home with the big speakers.....
"let him talk"
Extended live versions of Red House, Yes
Hear my Train a'coming YES
This a bit formulaic

Dum, dum dum dum dum dum dum, dum dum dum dum, dum,
The bass is awesome!!! Almost sounds as though it's the thing that keeps the guitar going. And going it is!! Got that album when it was released! Niiiiice
Thanks for playing it :-)
I guess I've been sheltered, this was my first listen of this song and just a couple minutes into it, I hit the ebay and ordered one up...
That album cover would make a really cool T-shirt
Jimi melted another one of my speakers🤪
HA - you should see what's left between my headphones!
A lot of Jimi's songs just grab me and hold me, take me over. More than any other artist.
Don't overlook Prince.
"Self-proclaimed great guitar players"? Really? When did either of them make such proclamations?
Easy Pro. I think IW may be kidding.
None the less, glad I'm here to hear Jimi play!

Just how much epic noodling were we deprived of?
As well as Duane Allman - way too young....
You must be a lot of fun at parties.....
YEAH!
I've not heard either of those play lead licks I've really thought "wow". Dave's a competent all round musician but he ain't in JH's league, neither is the twat Jack W
Neither of them ever claimed to be.
Just how much epic noodling were we deprived of?
Is noodling a good thing or bad? Or is epic the important qualification?

Edit: I think I said this before, that I have this CD.
I have this album too, and it is one of my absolute favorites. Hendrix doing what he loved...the blues

You funny!
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves ?
