Never looked so good.
I'm already in,
In a daydream.
The sun is shining,
To wake me up.
No one around,
Just me and the sky.
I'm already in,
In a daydream.
I'm already in,
In a daydream.
The sky is calling,
Calling out my name.
Telling me just to stay,
Stay and don't go away.
I'm already in,
In a daydream.
I'm already in,
In a daydream.
In a daydream...
In a daydream...
In a daydream...
Already in a daydream...
Tuesday songs.....make Tuesdays better.
Any more ? Add on !
Sun Comes Up Its Tuesday Morning - Cowboy Junkies
Don't Wanna Know - Roger Clyne
Tuesday Afternoon - Moody Blues
Voice Carry ' Til Tuesday (does that count?)
Hunh...somehow my digital copy of this track is labeled as the Freedy Jones Band...just realized that I have been calling them wrong for a very, very long time...like almost 30 years. Dumb ass.
Maybe you were thinking of Freedy Johnston?

One day I was on a bike ride, sunny day, listening to Radio Paradise. This song came out in the playlist, and during the solo at the end I just felt arms wide open pure joy, simple but real, thanks to this song. Thank you RadioParadise :)
Great solo yes !
I like this excerpt from their wiki page:
Despite the band's name, none of the bandmembers is named Freddy Jones; according to a 1992 interview, guitarist Wayne Healy stated it was "inspired by a big fat comic strip character named Freddy."
A nod to the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers! Fat Freddy's cat was always a favorite of mine. Sigh, the good old days...
Not sure what any of that means... but it sounds cool, bro!! :-)

The lyric is great too. Adding this to my morning motivation playlist.
Check it out if you get the chance. It's available on ebay and Amazon for purchase. I personally have the entire collection of all the"ONXRT Live From The Archives" cds...Volumes 1-19.
Yes, the live version of this cool song is much better than the studio version - great mix, more energy and well, just more fun!
Thanks for the trip RP!
THANKS BILL!

Perhaps, but you probably know that band didn't even exist until 5 or 6 years after this song's release.
Same here! :)
RP and Hugh Hewitt are the only places I still hear it. Cheers to his producer (that Hugh roasts often in a good way) - Bruce Cockburn/The Silencers / David Grey -regular rotating bumpers
Still hear this played on broadcast radio in the Chicago area. Certainly not a lot of airtime these days.
That is a completely different song with a similar title.
BTW, Hugh Hewitt uses a clip from this track as bumper music on his radio show.

Bet it was. The BellyUp is one of the things I miss the most about living in San Diego.
c'mon, I like the Spin Doctors
and Counting Crows-y, and Dave Matthews-y... all in a good late-90s production kind of way...
I agree. Don't understand the hype.
XRT was one place --- very similar to RP --- where I got to learn a lot about great music. No clear channel rap crap there. I wonder if Lin Brehmer listens
Absolutely true for me, as well!
Thanks for the bit of time travel! :)
takes me back to a very specific weekend - living in jackson hole, wyoming at the time (mid-90's). my friend scott and i took a weekend fly-fishing/camping trip up into yellowstone, and i had forgotten my box of tapes at the house. freddy jones was the only tape in the car, and due to no radio reception, the only music we listened to all weekend. good times man, good times!
"Days On End" From "Little Victories" (early 90s) is one of my favorite Darden tunes.
Littel Victories is still a great album.
Thanks for the bit of time travel! :)
Yep me too. But I'll go a step further and say it is borderline annoying.
c'mon, I like the Spin Doctors

Love it.
The answer is...Yes! Yes, they could sound more like the Boomtown Rats. Where's the "Clemons-esque" sax featured on several Rats' tunes? Where's the smirking Geldof-like vocals?
Here's the description of FJB on allmusic.com:
>>The Freddy Jones Band are roots-rock specialists in the tradition of groups like Little Feat, the Dave Matthews Band and the Allman Brothers Band. Having grown up in Chicago, the group has no particular aversion to blues, and much of their sound could be described as solid blues rock.<<
The next time you here "Rat Trap" or "Joey's on the Street Again", I doubt you'll be thinking of this cut.
Come to think about it - that's exactly why I loved this tune from first listen. It does have a other-worldly Steve Howe sound. Love it.
I think this may be a little cleaner playing than Steve Howe. BTW, I do love Steve.
Maybe I'm daydreamin'........
