Sometimes I think the love we made
all adds up to one goodbye
I begged you for a second chance
And slept right through your alibi
Lying on my back
staring at the stars above

When first came the thunder
Then came the rain
Then there was sunshine
Now it all feels the same

I try to imagine
Just how it would be
If I’d have been you, baby
and you’d have been me
First came the thunder

Well, I get a little sentimental
when I’ve had a couple of drinks
Sometimes I think I’ll phone you
Mostly I just sit here and think
Think about your silky hair
and how you pressed your flesh to mine

First came the thunder
Then came the rain
Then there was sunshine
Now it all feels the same
I try to imagine
Just how it would be
If I’d have been you, baby
and you’d have been me
First came the thunder

Well, the road I’m on leads back to you
but I can’t see my way to the end
Sometimes it gets so quiet
I hear the words you never said
Spilling from a radio
Drifting cross a double line

First came the thunder
Then came the rain
Then there was sunshine
Now it all feels the same
I try to imagine
Just how it would be
If I’d have been you, baby
and you’d have been me
First came the thunder

Need laughing about this cover, reminds me from Aki Kaurimäki's sight upon things.
A nice evolutionary turn for him -- I like what I've heard so far from this latest effort! The lyrics are consistently intriguing, and the music is catchy, with solid grooves!

Chuck started in Green on Red back in the 80’s and hasn’t stopped since.

Never heard of this guy before. This is pretty cool and really well produced. Ilove the desert-rock Americana of it (speaking as a Brit).

I just knew World Party would come back.
Cumbia ole!! Rock on Chuck!!

(Removed the lyrics from here, now that they're in the main spot. LLRP!)
