I've never heard anybody complain about a specific note before, but good music terminology.

The background singer on Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is a guy. His name is Roy Dodd and he's a background vocalist know for his unique falsetto (per Wikipedia). I'd a never in a thousand years guessed it was a dude.

Just one of those things you stumble across down those rabbit holes.

I think you are mistaken, I think 99.5% of this is not in falsetto. The, "hoo-hoo," bits are, but not the rest.

 I highly highly recommend giving this album an honest play-through. Enchanting, rocking, Earthly and dark; he has this interesting ability to make even the feel-good tracks feel somewhat desperate and brooding, in a good way.
