Am I the only one who feels like walking through Diablo 1 dungeons while listening to this?
Love to hear the whales singing with horn. Fan-bloody-tastic!
Oh dear, the name of the ensemble is regrettable
Nice!! I never heard of her before. Thanx RP!

So glad I looked over at this comment, funny.

 Good one Ziggy!
Still, whatever was ailing me is much better now. Sorry for the mixed NPC metaphor.
That is not necessarily playing the guitar, it is more like owning it.

Boring. I picture spiders crawling around during that arpeggio bit.

lucky me, I PSD'd this from Counting Crows

We now have evidence that the whales  communicating with each other over thousands of miles of ocean.
If females can no longer hear the singing males through the smog, they lose breeding opportunities and choices. The ocean area over which a whale can communicate and listen today has shriveled down to a small fraction of what it was less than a century ago."

A fine and tasteful guitarist.
I have several of her CDs and they're all good.
Always thought it was the intro of Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds — Two Step (alternate version) song.
But not this time, it is a perfect intro to Jeff Beck  - Cause we've Ended As Lovers song too !

Nice
like a whale song heard outside the ocean....

soothing and dreamlike {#Daisy}
I listen to RP because of the eclectic mix of songs and beautiful soundscapes. The haters here should maybe stick to commercial FM stations
wow this song is awful!!!
As it has from the first time I heard it, it makes me want to hear "Still...You Turn Me On" by ELP...
Cue Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds segue in 5.... 4...... 3..... 2....
This reminds me of Bill Ackerman. Nice stuff.

I've always liked this pairing here on RP.  Thanks Bill!!

I also like Kaki King's song on it's own but what a great transition.

Funny because I was just listening and perked up during these two songs - thinking at first, it was an intro to Dave Matthews song.  They really do go perfectly together.
First Brain:  what the Earth Leader will be called in the year 2525 when we have (finally!) evolved into a intellectual society.

Ha!  funny comments about whales and Ross Gellar.  However I took the title 'first brain' to refer to our untouched 'raw' baby's brain at birth - ie purely sensory..... song was nice while it lasted

Heard this song on RP in 2009. Went out and bought it immediately.

Boring song but she is an awesome guitarist!
This is a song about a whale.
No! This is a song about being happy!
sounds like something out of a massage parlor.
More please
I believe this song must have been composed by a Ross Gellar type character. All great in your own mind, but keep it to yourself.
Stay a while and listen!
I'm not sure what just happened either. {#Bananajam}
Ok, so when does the song actually start?  Oh... wait...  that was the song?  Cut off about 2 minutes and it would make a nice intro to a real song.
Kaki King's always fascinating without exception.
the birthing baby whales comment really made me laugh..you're so right!{#Lol} SinisterDexter wrote:

Went to a local show after hearing her  here on RP and was expecting a folkie. I was happily surprised to find a guitarist of extraordinary talent. She's really a hidden treasure.

Some of the comments here are killing me, especially those of Arserocket and Middleagedhipster! {#Lol}  But I like this piece and a lot of others off this album.  I like the cover too!
Those whales really need to work on their guitar technique.
Isn't that Michael Stipe singing the duet with her?
Just as well Lieutenant Colonel Kilgore chose Wagner
Good for making love...altough a short preposition... :)
Nice...This album has some other great cuts as well.
can this song please turn into ELP and then be done

First impression was Whale Songs...then it was just wail.{#Cry}
Oh what I thought as intro was the actual song for God's sake.
Downed my 3 to 1.
Alright we get it, skip the intro already.
I want to be far far away!  {#Chillpill}
This song really does nothing for me. And is slightly annoying...
Scene 313 – With a swift gate and heavy legs she pulls one foot at a time from the sand as the sun drifts closer to the horizon. "This day was a big waste," she murmurs to herself as she crosses the final dune to reach the parking lot. "I will never reach for the gold ring again, I will never forget how easy it is to hate . . . those sons-a-bitches that don't know how to love! Thank god this day is slipping away."

Every time I hear this, I have to stop what I'm doing and drift away...
Actually I bought Dreaming of Revenge recently. Apart from her voice, which is the weakest element in the whole thing, I really like the album. High recommendation.

I second that motion
I'd be nice and spare you all the meaning of the word "Kaki" in Hebrew.
Suitable for the song, though...

Music to give birth to a baby whale..
this is not WOWOWO but an easy 7 //
Sometimes I really need this kinda MELLOW. Nice track!{#Whistle}
Me likey very much. As much as I would like to bash .... it's just a nice unwinder type of song.
Ottmar? Ottmar Leibert? Is that you in there with the whales, son?

That was the funniest thing I've read all day. This does help me being my TM though.. :)
Funny to hear this one in the mix, as it seems to serve as an intro track for the rest of the album... Still manages to showcase Kaki's creativity, in a way. I'd rather hear the rest, though.
She is amazing :) Not the first of this style...but still noteworthy

Eh. Pat Metheny this ain't. 4.
The vocal did not add anything.
This is why I listen to Radio Paradise. Mixing in a song like this you could never hear elsewhere. Thank you.
This is like a the perfect musical palette cleanser. Anytime you start to get remotely tired of the musical mix, just throw this one in there and BAM... brand new Radio Paradise experience.

Very nice... sounds classic! It also reminds me to Wolf Hoffmann - Classical, one of my favourite classic cover album played by guitar!
