Why do my thoughts loom so large on me?
They seem to stay, for day after day
And won't disappear, I've tried every way
But she smiled sweetly
She smiled sweetly
She smiled sweetly
And says don't worry
Oh, no no no
Where does she hide it inside of her?
That keeps her peace most every day
And won't disappear, my hair's turning grey
But she smiled sweetly
She smiled sweetly
She smiled sweetly
And says don't worry
There's nothing in why or when
There's no use trying
You're here, begin again
And o'er again
That's what she said so softly
I understood for once in my life
And feeling good most all of the time
'Cause she smiled sweetly
She smiled sweetly
She smiled sweetly
And said don't worry
Oh, no no no
Oh, no no no
Oh, no no no

A Stones tune I'd never heard? In 2024? Amazing!
I have never heard this before.  Little or no FM play, for sure.  It's a fascinating curio, almost like finding your grandma's hand-me-down jewelry in the shoe box way back in the closet.  It's good -- but is it really the same Rolling Stones? There wasn't another one, was there? Jeez.  Jagger sounded like Jagger but bore little resemblance to Jagger.  Very weird how that works.  ... Now pumps through another Stones track.  You Can't Always something or other.  It's the Jagger of record, just a couple years later.

45 is young according to my just-turned-40-myself standards.

my dad (now 63) loved this album and played it too much. i think i like the song for sentimental reasons more than anything else.

this falls into the pre-"Sympathy" stones era that my dad likes (although he likes Beggar's Banquet). He never moved on to Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers and (my favorite) Exile...

it seems to me that "Their Majesty's..." was the transition point from the stones sounding too much like evryone else (like this song) to finding their real sound ... just my opinion

Nope. She's 45. Definitely middle aged like me. She just doesn't like it.

Me? It's okay. 6 for now. Never heard this before (or should I say I don't remember ever hearing it). I must have since it's the Stones and one of my favorite bands.

Although it's far from my favorite Stone records, kudos to RP for going deep.{#Clap}

You're right, of course, but it was so good back then and I still love it.

THIS is what, and where, Classic Rock is all about. If you're too young to appreciate this music, kindly step to the back of the line!..
It's only rock'n'roll but I like it...
Quite ahead of its time.
I think weak is a relative statement in rock n' roll vocal terms. Sure, Mick wasn't exactly a polished balladeer, but he could rip up a dirty blues tune any day of the week.

Oh my god, this is terrible.
Nice tune.
There is nothing redeeming about this album filler.

Man, I love the Stones.

I could sit here and parse that statement to death, but I'll leave it at that.

Oh, yeah. God bless Brian Jones! {#Pray}
Ah,the young ones,with Brian,I love this LP!
Keith with the rock&roll glasses on!

I'm immediately reminded of this scene every time this song plays.
I luv early Stones.
I've never heard this song before. I never was into the Stones enough to buy one of their older albums. I like it a lot.
Good old good one. Xlnt album. Jones'n for 'Thats How Strong My Love Is' from Out Of Our Heads.
Great album cover.
It's kind of ridiculous how long the Stones have been together.
Somehow, though I am 51, am an avid music fan/collector, I've never heard this song!! I think it is the Stones/Beatles thing - I was a big time Beatles fan, not so much the Stones. Still.
Between The Buttons has always been my favorite Stones album, since I first bought it back in 1967 and right up until today. (yeah - I'm officially an old fart!) I never liked the two 'big hits' on it, even back then - the unheard-of tracks like this one just appealed to me more...
Not my favorite.
o no no no
Been a while since I heard this.

Had never crossed paths with this Stones tune before. Interesting. Like the organ.
I've never heard this before. Gotta admit: on first pass, this feels like filler...
album filler.
Stones' deep tracks are ALWAYS welcome!
