Is changing every day
In every possible way
And oh, my dreams
It's never quite as it seems
Never quite as it seems
I know I've felt like this before
But now I'm feeling it even more
Because it came from you
And then I open up and see
The person falling here is me
A different way to be
La
I want more
(Impossible to ignore, impossible to ignore)
And they'll come true
(Impossible not to do, impossible not to do)
And now I'll tell you openly
You have my heart so don't hurt me
You're what I couldn't find
A totally amazing mind
So understanding and so kind
You're everything to me
HAH! Proof Bjork is a time traveler: In the album cover photo, she is CLEARLY looking at her phone.
Bjork? Can she switch bodies too? Maybe she's in the quantum leap project and was possessing Dolores in 1993.
This song just grates on my ears, dissonat singing in a bad way.
I'm so sorry for your loss. (hearing)
I've always really liked the drumming on this.
But this song - wow - this is a beautiful song! I love her completely unique Irish voice!
Some tears being shed as I listen...
When I played Cranberries at the VHits radio station I was working at (after she passed away) I would announce the song and turn off the mic and gasp a deep and guttural gasp. I still do every time listening to her voice.
Likely the only late entertainer that does that to me.
Great, extraordinary band, love many of their songs.
Nonetheless, and I'm writing this without any grudge, rather with a smile on my face: I saw one of the shortest and most uninspired concerts ever when The Cranberries performed in Bonn, Germany :)
They had their issues, and issues took Dolores, eventually
college, 1988, finally kissing that boy I secretly worshiped, at that party in Champaign, this song was playing. Good times.
a 10, for sentimental reasons.
98? either that or you brought your cd with you in your time machine

I miss Delores. Listen to Linger if you want to see a different style from them
Nope. All that wailing.
Yep. It works, maybe because of the vocals (that's the term I shall use).
Some tears being shed as I listen...
Same-and it blindsided me.

As much as I liked your story, this song was from 1993, not 1988. Either you mistaken the song or made up the whole thing. But anyhow, I always fall for youth stories of innocence lost. So thumbs up!
Kind of need that terrific drumming when there's not much else going on
in the song.
Interesting juxtaposition of the 3 or 4 repeated and held
notes throughout the song against a muted London Calling/Mystery
Achievement drum beat.
Or something like that, if you know what I mean.
Especially the Cowboy Junkies part.
Really? I always fell for the slightly accented singing. The drums are quite good, too.
Double plus agree.
Can't really tell if this is a sincere comment or one of an asshole. Hmmm.
I think it's a compliment/language problem.
My heart is still sad every time I hear her...

But her voice....💗
Dolores Mary Eileen O'Riordan (6 September 1971 – 15 January 2018), On 15 January 2018, at the age of 46, while in London, England, for a recording session, O'Riordan died unexpectedly.

Hoping it's a tribute. We'll find out shortly.
Listening differently on the sad news today.
RIP
She was my angel in the 1990's
Ok, I'll have to add my "Me, too" here...
Remember Salvation? I'd blocked that from my mind somehow until a couple months ago when I ran across it on youtube and it was just so, so awful.
Zombie was pretty avoidable too if I remember...
LOL. I love the drums on this song though. Great timing and arrangement.
I disagree with your assessment of Cranberries, but you're absolutely right about Horslips - they'd be great here (or anywhere).
Hothouse Flowers too.
"One hit wonder"? Like them or not, this band had several Top 20 songs and albums, on both sides of the Atlantic.
I like it.
To each his own.
Very nice too.
Yeah very sentimental. 2015, back on a beautiful Pt Reyes beach with lots of memories.a 10, for sentimental reasons.
Nice post!

I didn't remember Salvation so checked it out on You Tube...wish I hadn't, that is gawd awful!!
Though this track is relatively innocuous, she has been responsible for some of the most annoying songs in the history of the universe.
Somebody stop her.

Absolutely, I used to think she was part of some alien plot to take over the planet by making us all have our ears sewn up. Thankful my internet connection kept dropping this morning which gave a few seconds respite

I'd hoped I would never hear this again. Loved it at first. Loved it at second. By the time I'd heard it on the (old fashioned) radio at work about the 10,000th time, the joy had worn off.
Alas, it never came back again.
ah well, we live in a democracy :)
missed that, back in the day!

Cramborings again!!!!??
Time to mute button.
bittersweet now, but hard to regret.

I was just going to say how lucky we were to get two today.

Scorching hot that night,
but noone could stop dancing and shouting!
It was a big shock when you came up to me to say hi. I thought we had cut all connections with the past.
I would prefer that, from watching you walk away again...
Always appreciated a good hook.
literally? gee, that must have hurt
same, despite the yoddeling
Years ago, before the days of Gortex and CD/MP3 players - when wool and vinyl were king, our local little ski hill had speakers on the t-bar lift supports and blasted out yodeling music for all to enjoy. I think it was better because our wine skins were full of Southern Comfort. Give that a try Rocket man.
with you on that one.
kinda Cranberry'n out today - ugh
I dig her voice... but that ending is a bit much...
Yep. I'm on the other side from you.
And I from you
Yep. I'm on the other side from you.
