The cache has disappeared again and the "documents & data" back to 20KB. I did check my iPad also and I have even less space on the iPad and yet the cache does not disappear...very strange

Thanks.......sounds like it might be storage related then although in theory I should have enough space to cater for the cache unless the app needs a certain minimum.

I have 1.3GB of space on the phone. The RP app shows the following before any cache downloaded..............

App 1.8mb

Docs & Dats 20kb

After I downloaded a 60 minute cache with low bit rate the "docs & data" went up to 30mb so well within the 1.3GB spare........I'll let you know if it disappears in the next 24 hours again.
